1. Product description

Rayson PrimeBond W10 is a one-component, water-based acrylic primer, sealer and bonding agent for smooth concrete and mineral substrates, applied ahead of Rayson UraForce water-based topcoats.

PrimeBond W10 is the low-odour entry point to Rayson floor systems. Supplied ready to use in a single pack, it needs no weighing or ratio mixing — stir for two minutes and apply by brush or roller. It seals smooth concrete and mineral substrates and provides the bond for Rayson water-based urethane topcoats.

2. Recommended uses

  • Priming and bonding on smooth concrete and mineral substrates
  • Base coat for Rayson UraForce WB52 water-based urethane systems
  • Receiving broadcast aggregate for anti-slip system build-ups

3. Suitable substrates

  • Smooth concrete (minimum 28 days old, moisture content below 5%)
  • Mineral substrates, mechanically prepared and vacuumed

4. Key properties

  • Low VOC and low odour — suited to occupied buildings
  • Single component, ready to use — no mix-ratio errors on site
  • Fast surface dry keeps overnight programmes moving
  • Accepts broadcast aggregate for anti-slip systems
  • Low odour

5. System role

6. Technical data

Surface preparation New concrete should be at least 28 days old with moisture content below 5%. Remove laitance and loose material; mechanically prepare damaged concrete to expose aggregate. On existing concrete, prefer mechanical preparation followed by industrial vacuuming; degrease oil and grease. The substrate is sufficiently dry when surface relative humidity is 75% or lower.
Mixing / dilution One pre-weighed component; stir well for 2 minutes with a mixing paddle before use
Application method Short-bristled brush, Roller
Coverage 5–10 m² per litre depending on substrate condition
Application conditions Minimum substrate temperature 5 °C; minimum mixing temperature 10 °C; minimum curing temperature 5 °C; keep floor dew point within 3 °C of atmospheric temperature.
Drying & curing Surface dry approximately 1 hour at 28 °C
Recoat interval Available from the Rayson technical team on request.
Film / thickness Penetrating primer; consumption governs film.
Pack sizes 20 L plastic pail
Storage Store under cover in dry conditions, protected from temperature extremes.
Shelf life Approximately 12 months unopened, subject to storage conditions.

8. Recommended system

Low-odour floor system for occupied buildings

  1. Prime with Rayson PrimeBond W10
  2. Apply minimum 2 coats of Rayson UraForce WB52 water-based urethane topcoat

Anti-slip walkway system

  1. Prime with Rayson PrimeBond W10 and broadcast fine aggregate into the wet film
  2. Sweep off excess after drying and seal with Rayson UraForce WB52

9. Limitations

10. Health & safety
