1. Product description

Rayson SealForce RC30 is a two-component, roller-applied polyurea-based liquid waterproofing membrane — highly elastic and hydrophobic, bonding strongly to concrete, tile, metal and asphalt for wet areas, roofs and car parks.

SealForce RC30 is Rayson's general-purpose liquid waterproofing membrane: a two-component polyurea-based system, roller-applied, that cures to a tough, highly elastic and hydrophobic film keyed hard to almost any prepared surface. It is designed to be tiled over, built into deck systems or left as the working membrane.

2. Recommended uses

  • Waterproofing beneath tiling and in bathrooms and wet areas
  • Roof waterproofing
  • Primary waterproofing membrane in car-park deck systems
  • Bridge and tunnel deck waterproofing
  • Light metal and fibre-cement roofs
  • Over asphaltic membranes

3. Suitable substrates

  • Sound concrete of at least 25 N/mm² compressive strength and 1.5 N/mm² pull-off
  • Tiled substrates (as a concealed membrane)
  • Metal and fibre-cement roofs (with the appropriate primer)
  • Asphaltic membranes
  • Primed for the surface type before application

4. Key properties

  • Highly elastic (>500% elongation), hydrophobic membrane
  • Strong adhesion to concrete (>2.5 N/mm²) and many other surfaces
  • Does not soften in heat — serves to 90 °C, tolerates shock to 200 °C
  • Stays flexible in the cold to -40 °C
  • Locally repairable in a short time
  • Waterproofing
  • Chemical resistance
  • Thermal-shock resistance

5. System role

Standalone coating.

6. Technical data

Surface preparation Surface must be clean and sound, free of dust, oil, paint residue and old coatings. Repair cracks and joint edges with a suitable sealant or mortar, and fill surface irregularities. The concrete must reach at least 25 N/mm² compressive and 1.5 N/mm² pull-off strength, then be primed for its absorbency and surface type.
Mixing / dilution Two components; add Part B to Part A and mix with a low-speed mixer (~300 rpm) for 2–3 minutes to a uniform colour; prepare only what can be used within the pot life
Application method Roller, Brush
Coverage 1.5–1.8 kg/m² total (typically two coats at 0.75–0.9 kg/m² each)
Application conditions Do not apply below +5 °C. Keep away from ignition sources and ventilate — the wet product is flammable.
Drying & curing Pot life ~30 minutes; 4–6 hours to cure; 6–12 hours between coats; final cure 7 days
Recoat interval Apply the next coat 6–12 hours after the previous one; the film cures in 4–6 hours.
Film / thickness Two coats at 0.75–0.9 kg/m² per coat; minimum total consumption 1.5–1.8 kg/m².
Pack sizes Part A 25 kg + Part B 1.5 kg
Storage Store in unopened original packaging in a cool, dry, covered area out of direct sunlight.
Shelf life Approximately 12 months unopened, subject to storage conditions.

8. Recommended system

Wet-area / under-tile waterproofing

  1. Prepare the substrate and prime for its absorbency
  2. Apply the first coat of SealForce RC30
  3. Apply the second coat once the recoat window opens
  4. Tile or overlay once fully cured

Car-park deck waterproofing

  1. Mechanically prepare and prime the deck
  2. Apply SealForce RC30 as the primary waterproofing membrane in two coats
  3. Finish with the specified wearing and anti-slip system

9. Limitations

10. Health & safety

Solvent-based product — flammable. Ensure good ventilation, keep away from ignition sources, and wear gloves, eye and respiratory protection. Avoid skin and eye contact. Keep out of reach of children. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (in preparation) before use.
