1. Product description

Rayson SealForce SP210 is a hot spray-applied, 100% solids pure polyurea membrane that forms a seamless, potable-grade waterproof lining on concrete and steel tanks, reservoirs and containment structures.

SealForce SP210 is Rayson's potable-grade spray polyurea: a two-component, 100% solids elastomer applied by heated spray plant that sets in seconds to a seam-free membrane on concrete and steel. It is certified for contact with drinking water (WRAS / BS 6920 in the UK), making it a lining as much as a coating.

2. Recommended uses

  • Lining potable-water tanks and reservoirs
  • External waterproofing of water towers and reservoir roofs
  • Sealing concrete and steel tanks and structures
  • Secondary containment linings
  • Sewage digester linings

3. Suitable substrates

  • Prepared concrete and steel structures
  • Primed and prepared per the project method statement
  • Applied at temperatures at least 3 °C above the dew point, below 85% RH

4. Key properties

  • Certified for potable-water contact (WRAS / BS 6920)
  • 100% solids, seamless membrane on concrete and steel
  • Hard, tough surface with strong tear and abrasion resistance
  • Fast set — walk-on in minutes
  • High tensile strength for lining structures under load
  • Waterproofing
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Fast return to service
  • Chemical resistance

5. System role

Standalone coating.

6. Technical data

Surface preparation Concrete and steel are prepared to the project method statement — profiled, clean and dry — and primed with the specified system. Apply only where the substrate is at least 3 °C above the dew point and relative humidity is below 85%.
Mixing / dilution Two components metered and mixed in the heated spray gun at a 1:1 volume ratio (1.12:1 by weight); components pre-heated to ~25 °C and hoses controlled to about 70 °C; Part B power-mixed before use
Application method Hot airless spray (plural-component)
Coverage 1.0 litre/m² per mm dry film; typically 1.5 mm wet film in one coat
Application conditions Applied by heated plural-component spray plant by specialist applicators; substrate at least 3 °C above dew point, RH below 85%.
Drying & curing Gel time 5–20 s at 60 °C; walk-on ~10 minutes at 20 °C; light duty ~4 hours; 100% cure ~4 days (WRAS use requires 20 days at 7 °C minimum)
Recoat interval Minimum recoat a few minutes after the previous pass; consult the method statement for maximum windows before reactivation.
Film / thickness Applied at 1.0 litre/m² per mm dry film, typically 1.5 mm wet film in one coat.
Pack sizes 400 litre unit (Part A + Part B)
Storage Keep sealed in the supplied containers, in a dry store at normal room temperature. Shelf life about 6 months from shipment.

8. Recommended system

Potable tank / reservoir lining

  1. Prepare concrete or steel per the method statement and prime
  2. Spray-apply SealForce SP210 to the specified dry-film thickness
  3. Observe the full cure regime, including the extended cure for potable use
  4. Commission and fill after certification

9. Limitations

10. Health & safety

Two-component product. Wear gloves, eye protection and suitable respiratory protection where ventilation is limited. Avoid skin and eye contact. Keep out of reach of children. Consult the Safety Data Sheet (in preparation) before use.
