Area yield
Area × coats ÷ m² per unit For primers and thin coatings expressed as the square metres covered by each kilogram or litre.
Rayson material planner · Singapore
Rayson products express coverage in three different ways: area yield, consumption per square metre and consumption by thickness. This tool selects the correct formula before showing a planning range and complete packs where conversion is valid.
Material-consumption and film-thickness planning concept · Confirm the current TDS and site conditions before ordering
01 · Product quantity planning
The result is a planning range—not a specification or purchase quantity. Substrate porosity, profile, application thickness, environment and method can all change practical consumption.
02 · The correct formula
Treating kg/m² as m²/kg produces a completely wrong purchase quantity. The Rayson calculator selects the formula from the published coverage basis and clearly leaves non-convertible cases for technical confirmation.
Area × coats ÷ m² per unit For primers and thin coatings expressed as the square metres covered by each kilogram or litre.
Area × unit per m² × coats For floors, finishes and membranes expressed as kilograms or litres consumed per square metre.
Area × unit per m² per mm × mm For PurScreed, repair materials and systems installed to a specified film thickness.
Porosity, surface profile, level variation, wastage, material left in equipment and actual film thickness all change site consumption. A range is a more honest planning output than a single false-precision number.
No. Thickness must come from the project specification, current TDS or Rayson technical direction. The calculator only uses the thickness you enter.
If coverage is published in litres but packaging is stated in kilograms, the system will not invent a conversion without verified density data.
There is no percentage suitable for every project. Substrate porosity, profile, equipment, edges and site handling all affect material loss.
It should not be. The result supports early planning; confirm the current TDS, complete pack configuration and site conditions before procurement.
