Rayson technical supervisor inspecting a seamless hygienic floor in a clean production facility
Industry

ESD flooring you can actually measure

Electronics manufacturing needs clean, dust-free, static-controlled floors. Rayson StaticGuard conductive systems and seamless epoxy floors support ESD-sensitive assembly, cleanrooms and component storage.

Common surface problems

  • Electrostatic discharge damaging sensitive components
  • Concrete dusting contaminating clean environments
  • Wear lanes from trolleys and AGV traffic
  • Joints and cracks harbouring dust

Operating conditions

  • ESD-protected areas with grounding requirements
  • Controlled environments with air handling
  • Continuous production with limited shutdown access
  • Strict cleanliness and particle-control expectations

Surface preparation considerations

  • Confirm target resistance range and earthing layout before installation
  • Moisture-test slabs; use appropriate primers
  • Plan conductive grounding points with the electrical contractor

Maintenance

  • Use cleaning products that do not leave insulating films
  • Test floor resistance on a scheduled basis
  • Repair damage promptly to maintain the conductive path

A recommended combination

Standard epoxy floor system

  1. Mechanically prepare and vacuum the substrate
  2. Prime with Rayson PrimeBond E20
  3. Apply Rayson LevelShield SL120 self-levelling body coat

This is a typical build-up. The exact system depends on your conditions — confirm the specification with our technical team.
