  • Material temperature 15–25 °C; ambient and surface temperature above 10 °C and at least 5 °C above the dew point
  • Surface must be dry, clean and free of loose paint, dust, grease, oil, wax and biological growth
  • Allow generous cure before play; confirm drying and full-cure times with our technical team
  • Check falls and drainage before coating — ponding shortens the life of any court surface
  • Heavy vehicle traffic or industrial floors
  • Glazed tiles or sealed surfaces without specialist preparation
  • Areas with standing water or unresolved ponding

What to know before specifying Rayson CourtFlex AC25.

How many coats does a court need?

A minimum of two coats for uniform colour and film build, with dull patches receiving a further coat. Heavily used courts benefit from a planned recoat cycle.

Will the colour fade in the sun?

The acrylic film is non-yellowing and formulated for exterior use. All court colours weather over years of UV — plan periodic recoats to keep colour and traction consistent.

Can it be used on walls or roof tiles?

Yes — masonry walls, brick walls and roof tiles are listed substrates alongside courts and decorative concrete.

How long before the court can be played on?

Confirm the drying, cure and reopening times with our technical team when programming works.

Does the court need slip texture?

Traction requirements vary by sport. Where a defined anti-slip profile is required, build the texture with GripSafe AP12 before colour-coating.

What preparation does an old court need?

Remove failed paint, biological growth and contamination; repair cracks and depressions; correct ponding. A sound, clean, dry surface is the whole game.
