From substrate to service

A controlled route to applying Rayson UraForce HY15.

This sequence supports early planning. It does not replace the current Technical Data Sheet, approved method statement or project-specific technical review.

  1. 01

    Inspect and prepare the substrate

    Mineral substrates and grey concrete

  2. 02

    Prepare the material as specified

Single component, ready to use; pot life stated as under 4 hours once opened and in use

  3. 03

    Apply with the correct tools

Recommended methods: Brush, Roller. Confirm coat count and thickness for the project.

  4. 04

    Protect through the required cure

Overcoat in 1–3 hours at 25 °C (substrate dependent); open to light traffic after 4–6 hours

02

Choose something else when

  • Ambient and surface temperatures must be at least 5 °C above the dew point
  • Recommended wet film thickness approximately 130–150 microns per coat
  • A thin-film finish, not a levelling or heavy-duty build product
  • Shelf life shorter than two-pack products — rotate stock
  • Heavy industrial or forklift traffic — use an epoxy or PU-cement system
  • Chemical spill or containment areas
  • Levelling uneven substrates — it is a thin roller coat

Common technical questions

What to know before specifying Rayson UraForce HY15.

Does UraForce HY15 need a hardener?

No — it is a single-component, self-crosslinking product. Stir well and apply; there is no mix ratio to get wrong.

How fast can an area reopen?

Indicatively, light foot traffic after 4–6 hours at 25 °C, with overcoating possible from 1–3 hours.

Is it slippery when wet?

The finish is formulated with anti-slip character, and for ramps or wet zones it pairs with GripSafe AP12 textured primer for a defined anti-slip profile.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes — it is non-yellowing and suitable for interior or exterior use, including playgrounds, pavers and walkways.

How many coats are recommended?

A minimum of two, with dull patches receiving a further coat for a uniform finish.
